MB Construction assisted with a sewer main relocation project in Storm Lake, Iowa by isolating
a critical section of 18-inch pipeline. Over the course of two days, the MB Construction Service
Division successfully installed four 18-inch insertion valves, enabling efficient isolation of the line
and minimizing disruption to the system.

Without the use of insertion valves, the project would have required draining and hauling
wastewater from nearly two miles of sewer main prior to construction. This solution significantly
reduced time, cost, and environmental impact while allowing the project to move forward
quickly.

This project highlights MB Construction’s ability to deliver innovative solutions that improve
efficiency and minimize system downtime on complex utility infrastructure projects.
